Independence is the key! This is the time where the child learns and develops in many ways. The child’s five senses get polished even further and everything the child learns is meaningful. During this time, toddlers strive to be independent and want to do everything themselves including imitating adults. We work hard in creating strong loving bonds between child and teacher that can promote trust, autonomy, self-esteem and understanding to the child.

At Nelly’s Childcare & Preschool, we understand the key changes in the child’s mind and the new skills that need to be explored by the child to help them become more independent. We believe that children learn best through play.  Thus, teachers encourage the children to participate in short class activities, arts and crafts and free play throughout the day. Nelly’s Childcare & Preschool provides an environment safe and rich in activities, such as dramatization, dancing, arts and circle time. We use many materials that will help develop their maximum potential in an environment full of smiles and hugs!
